Past Cases

Drubner, Hartley, Mengacci & Hellman has played a leadership role in numerous class actions and complex litigations over the course of the firm’s history.  The following are some of our past successes.

In re Brokerage Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1663, Civil Action Nos. 04-5184 (GEB)(PS) 05-1079 (GEB)(PS) (D.N.J.)

Drubner, Hartley & Hellman was among a number of firms that successfully obtained court approval for a $121 million settlement with Zurich Insurance in a class action lawsuit alleging that the Zurich insurers, and others, violated federal and state antitrust laws, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), and common law due to their alleged improper use of contingent commissions fees. Similarly, Drubner, Hartley & Hellman was also among a number of firms that successfully obtained court approval for a $28 million settlement with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. based on the same alleged misconduct.
